When we gathered to celebrate Lemlem’s retirement, we celebrated more than her years behind the chair. This room holds over a decade of styling, maintaining locs, nurturing natural hair, and getting to know the people who wear it.
Lemlem’s legacy continues through Ela’s care at the chair, Esrom’s work behind the scenes, and the relationships that make Good Hair Salon a staple of the community.

Lemlem built lasting trust as a senior stylist long before becoming Good Hair Salon’s owner in 2018. Her knowledge of natural hair, careful hands, and familiar warmth helped make the salon a place clients returned to for much more than a style.
As she celebrates retirement, the care she poured into clients and shared with the next generation remains part of every chapter that follows.

Ela grew up in the salon, learning directly from Lemlem and developing from an assistant into an experienced senior stylist. Her knowledge of natural hair is matched by the pride she takes in understanding each client’s hair and goals.
Today, she carries that hands-on tradition into the salon’s next chapter through thoughtful service, mentorship, and the familiar care our clients know.

Esrom handles the work you rarely see in the mirror: accounting, payroll, paperwork, and the systems that keep Good Hair moving. He may be tucked into the back of this photo, but his work runs throughout the salon.
With a background in mechanical engineering and a habit of improving how things work, he helps give the team more room to focus on what they do best: caring for your hair.
